• Can my CIC benefit from Gift Aid?

  Potentially. If your CIC’s activities further a charitable purpose for the public benefit and the relevant eligibility requirements are met, eligible donations made through GoodHub may attract Gift Aid. Gift Aid is subject to HMRC rules and is not automatic.

• What does “charitable purpose for the public benefit” mean?

  Your CIC’s activities must further a recognised charitable purpose and provide a benefit to the community or a significant section of it.

• How is eligibility assessed?

  GoodHub and The GoodHub Foundation assess the information you provide about your CIC’s activities, charitable purpose and public benefit. Eligibility may be reviewed if your circumstances change.

• What role does The GoodHub Foundation play?

  For CICs approved for the Foundation’s Gift Aid arrangement, donations under that arrangement are received by The GoodHub Foundation. It claims Gift Aid on eligible donations and distributes funds to support the CIC’s qualifying work, net of applicable fees.

• Can we use GoodHub if we don’t qualify for Gift Aid?

  Yes. CICs can still use GoodHub to receive donations and fundraise even if their donations are not eligible for Gift Aid.

• What fees apply?

  Registration is free, with no subscription fees. Donation-processing fees apply, alongside Gift Aid fees where relevant. The 25% Gift Aid uplift is before these fees. See our pricing page for details.

• What happens if our activities change?

  You should let GoodHub know if your activities or charitable purpose change. Your eligibility may be reviewed, and Gift Aid eligibility may be withdrawn if your activities no longer meet the relevant requirements.
