Why Choose GoodHub
-
Because we’re different.
GoodHub is more than just a fundraising platform. Our vision is to create a culture of giving that goes beyond big charity names, one that recognises and celebrates the profound effect that fundraising can have in shaping a stronger, more vibrant society.
Our mission is to support the charities and non-profits that make the most difference to the people, causes and communities that rely on them.
Together, we can build bridges, break down barriers – and galvanise positive action in everyone to contribute to the causes they hold close to their hearts, for all our benefit.
GoodHub. Give Better.
-
GoodHub enables you to support your favourite charity or community organisation by setting up your own fundraising page and asking for donations to your favourite cause from your friends, family, and colleagues.
For example, you might seek sponsorship for participating in a marathon or completing The Three Peaks Challenge or invite donations instead of gifts to celebrate a wedding, or In Memoriam of a loved one.
When you’re finished fundraising, we’ll send all funds raised directly to your nominated charities or non-profits and claim Gift Aid where applicable, saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
-
Yes. We take our responsibility seriously and fully commit to the Fundraising Promise and the Codes of Fundraising Practice.

Crowdfund A Project campaigns and Sponsored Events
-
The charity can either extend the campaign term from your admin panel or it can choose to draw down any funds raised. Yes. If a Crowdfund a Project campaign or Sponsored Event is funded quicker than expected, then the organisation can set a stretch target.

Where an organisation runs a Crowdfund a Project campaign on GoodHub, then it has made a contractual commitment to ensure that all donations made to that campaign will be used for the purposes set out. If it chooses to accept donations beyond the original campaign target, then the campaign webpage and material must clearly explain how any excess funds raised will be used.
Ticketed Events
-
It is the organiser’s responsibility to notify purchasers if there is a rescheduling, cancellation or other issue linked to their event.
GoodHub does not guarantee or warrant that any specific event will occur at any specific time.
-
It is the organiser’s responsibility to inform the buyer of the refund policy and issue the refunds. When transacting on the site the organiser’s refund policy applies to you; you may not be reimbursed should the event be cancelled.
GoodHub may request a refund from the organisers for any reason including but not limited to when suspecting fraudulent behaviour or misrepresentation.

GiftAid & Taxation
-
Gift Aid is a tax relief boosting donations by an extra 25% on donations made by UK taxpayers.
-
If the organisation is a registered or exempt charity then we can collect Gift Aid and pass it directly to the organisation. Simply click the box to confirm that you are a UK taxpayer, and we do the rest.
-
When you donate, you’ll be asked to confirm whether you are a UK taxpayer. Please note that Gift Aid can only be reclaimed on donations made by individuals who pay UK income or capital gains tax at a rate at least equal to the amount reclaimed on their donations in the current tax year.
-
To keep things simple, your Gift Aid status will be saved for the next time you donate. If your status has changed and you are no longer a UK taxpayer, then please contact us and we will change your Gift Aid status.
-
If you pay tax at the higher rate, you may be able to reclaim tax relief on your gross donation at 20% (i.e. the difference between the higher rate of tax at 40% and the basic rate at 20%). Simply print out a copy of your donation history and attach it to your tax return. If in doubt, please seek the advice of an accountant or other professional adviser.

GoodHub will transfer relevant net funds to the client organisation on or around the 15th day of a calendar month as follows:
Profile Pages and Regular Giving Campaigns – donations for a calendar month are transferred directly to your nominated bank account on or around the 10th of the calendar month immediately following the calendar month in which the donations were made.
“Crowdfund a Project”, Sponsored Events and Ticketed Events – income and donations are transferred on or around the 10th of the calendar month immediately following the calendar month in which the campaign or event page was closed.
Where relevant, a Gift Aid claim is submitted to HMRC for every fundraising and event page each month. The Gift Aid is transferred to you directly from HMRC so is dependent on their processes and service levels.
Note that GoodHub reserves the right to retain funds if, in its exclusive opinion, it has been unable to satisfactorily verify that the recipient bank account belongs to the client organisation until such time as it has been able to do so.
-
Yes. We provide a full suite of reports totally to all our clients, totally free of charge.
You can find a summary of all your fundraising efforts and specific campaigns whenever you want. Our “donor” and fundraiser reports provide full details of your supporters, their donation amount and whether Gift Aid has been added.
You can also download a Gift Aid report if you prefer to submit your claim yourself.

Fees
-
GoodHub is committed to providing affordable access to digital fundraising for EVERY charity irrespective of size and how much you raise.
We don’t charge a registration or a subscription fee to raise funds or sell ticket to an event – simple. And there’s no platform fee either; instead, we offer supporters the option to add a small voluntary contribution to their donation or ticket purchase to cover our costs.
We do charge charities a competitive payment processing fee and a small charge to collect and submit Gift Aid data on your behalf.
Full details of our fees (including our “fair fee” policy) can be found in our dedicated fee section and in our T&C’s.
-
We keep it competitive and simple: our Payment Processing Fee is just 1.9% + 20p of each donation for all card types – debit or credit, domestic or international.
-
There is a small charge to collect Gift Aid data and submit claims on your behalf of 5% of the Gift Aid added by donors.
-
Digital fundraising is one of the most cost-effective ways for charities to raise funds, but any method of taking donations or ticket purchases online will have costs associated with it.
Instead of charging a platform fee, we offer supporters the option to add a small voluntary contribution to their donation or ticket purchase to cover our costs.
However, some supporters are still surprised that there are costs involved when it comes to raising funds online so we explain clearly how their voluntary contribution will be used.
See Our Fees and T&C’s for full details including our “fair fee” policy.
GiftAid for charities
-
Yes. If you are a registered or exempt charity or otherwise able to claim Gift Aid, then we can collect any Gift Aid on your behalf. This can then be paid directly into your nominated bank account by HMRC.
-
Yes. HMRC allows agents, nominees, and collection agents to make repayment claims on your behalf.
Agents, nominees, and collection agents can only claim for your charity or CASC if you’ve informed HMRC that they’re authorised to represent you.
We’ll provide full details on how to notify HMRC in your “welcome” email or drop an email anytime to hello@goodhub.com for more info.
